Pennant results:
Ladies Weekend Pennant team Colleen Daysh and Bronwyn Smith lost to Manawatu at Levin.
Monday Pennant team Pam Bisset, Deb Henricksen, Pam Huddleston, Paula McCool, Margaret Brislane, and Trish Cuttance had a good 5/3 win over Wanganui at Rangatira. Well done, ladies.
Weekend Pennant - Colleen and Bronwyn will play Rangitikei this Sunday at home. D grade men (36 players) will also be playing. Course closed until after 2pm. These players have absolute right of way at all times. Tee times from 10.30 and all the matches will play from number 1.
LOCAL RULE YOU NEED TO BE AWARE OF (Red peg area over fence at 12 and 17)
Because the ground within the penalty red peg area over the fence on the right of #12 and to the right of #17 is too rough and dangerous to expect you to play from, that area is compulsory GUR, take your free relief as per rule 16.1b (your nearest relief is the area where you can hit the ball without interference of the fence; PLUS one club length, THEN drop within this area).
Jason Smith magnificent at Mahunga in Marquis Shield finals
Spare a thought for the hapless opponent of Miff at Mahunga last weekend when he had to watch our club captain nail two eagle twos on par 4s, one from way out, and the other a chip-in (so I’m told). Miff shot a 73, one over the card and played to a differential of 3.8 – good shooting Maestro.
MARCH CALENDAR - Check out Upcoming Events from the menu.
Note change of date for Club haggle from 17th to 16th also no Rotary tournament this weekend, a stableford round instead.
